I have over 20 years of experience in operations and corporate finance working for The University of California, The Walt Disney Company, Sun Microsystems / Oracle, and The Dow Chemical Company.  I've worked on numerous multimillion- and multibillion-dollar projects and led operations across a wide range of industries, including higher education, entertainment, resorts, and technology.

I am fascinated by organizational behavior, particularly in how information flows within organizations and how individuals receive and interpret it.  I am driven by the process of turning abstract concepts into concrete results, whether by analyzing data to craft a compelling business narrative or by developing a project from initial financial projections to successful completion.

On a personal level, I am passionate about music and play the piano and guitar daily, no matter how busy I am; I feel that music instantly transcends language, creating connections that words often cannot.  I read obsessively and have curated a personal library filled with works from long out-of-print and forgotten authors, many of whom I believe are ripe for rediscovery.  Living near the Sierra Nevada, I am drawn to the outdoors and spend a significant amount of time in the mountains; in the winter, I ski regularly, and in the summer, I spend time backpacking and mountaineering in the wilderness.  I am also a huge fan of the San Francisco 49ers, Star Wars, Monty Python, and the films of Krzysztof Kieślowski and Stanley Kubrick.
